Leaving of Omanis scholars from the OFC and SQU for a one-month language course in France

On July 14th, French Ambassador H. E. Roland DUBERTRAND received at the French Embassy twelve Omanis scholarship students who will go to France in the beginning of August to attend a one-month language course.

Among them, eight students from the Omani French Centre (OFC) who received a short-term language scholarship from the French Government, will go on their training lecture in Tours. About the four Sultan Qabous University students, one got a scholarship from the Cooperation and cultural action service and the three others from the SQU. They will do their internship in Montpellier, Brest and La Rochelle.

The Ambassador underlined the strong ties between France and Oman, especially in the academic cooperation field. He also highlighted the importance that the French Government attaches to the studying of the French language by young Omanis, as well as the Government’s efforts to encourage them to pursue their further studies in France.

The French Embassy is proud of contributing in the establishment of this from now on annual event with the Omanis students and wishes them an excellent stay in France.
